Crohaun Trail

We are blessed with our location, at the edge of the Comeragh Mountains, with its many scenic walking routes, including the Cruachan Trail which starts just a 5 minute walk from our gate. It takes you on a 3 hour return walk to the summit of the Kilnafrehan Mountain and affords a breathtaking 360 degree view of the Waterford Coastline, our local town Dungarvan, as well as the Comeragh and Knockmealdown Mountains. You cannot walk these mountains, without coming back, feeling better than when you left! For the tougher trails, guided Walking Tours such as Muddy Boots can be pre-booked.

Local Cycling

We have many backroads around us with beautiful scenic views of the surronding countryside including the Comeragh Mountains and views of the distant Knockmealdown Mountains.

Green Way

Whether you walk, run or cycle the entire, or part of the old 46km railway track from Dungaravan to Waterford, you will not forget the Waterford Greenway. It has been named as Ireland’s favourite adventure! Its stunning scenery with highlights ranging from the “kinda spooky” Ballyvoille tunnel, the three viaducts, its sweeping views of the sea , mountains and rivers, You will have a day out to remember. For parking we would recommend Dungarvan Greenway Carpark or Durrow Greenway Carpark. You can also stop for refreshments along the way, with coffee and delicious food at the Railway Cottage cafe or Coach House Cafe.

Bridgie Terries

Our local pub is Bridgie Terries Bar & Restaurant which is just a 5 minute drive away. This friendly, family run establishment, offers delicious home cooked food and boasts an extensive Beer Garden with a large, covered eating space. Being in such easy reach of us, this is an obvious choice after a hard days hiking.
