For those wanting guided walks Muddy Boots are the ones to speak to! They can provide great information on the local and surronding areas while getting to see some amazing views.

Mountain Walks

Cruachan/Crohaun Walking Trail
Waterford Mountains

Crohaun is a picturesque mountain walk with great views of Co. Waterford and its coastline on the way up as well as at its peak. There are 2 main trails for getting to the peak, one is 30 minutes and will require a quick drive and is suitable for all levels of walkers. The other route is a 3 hour hike accessible from our gate and is suitable for more advanced mountain walkers.

Mahon Falls Walk & Hike

Mahon falls is a stunning location that would be a massive shame to miss out on. The waterfall itself is outstanding the view of the Waterford cosatline is something to behold. There are 2 walks available one being the 4km Hike which is a hard walk for experienced hikers, the other is a easy walk on a paved path thats 1.5km long and 40 minutes there and back.

Rathgormack Walk

Rathgormack is an amazing part of The Comeraghs with many walks and scenic views. While a 30 minute drive from The Getaway its great spot worth visiting.

Forest Walks

Coligan Woods

Coligan Woods is a picturesque woodland running along side Colligan River in a stunning Valley. Only a 9 minute drive or 20 minute cycle from The Getaway this is an absolute must for those looking to reconnect with nature.

Glenshelane Forest

Glenshelane riverwalk is an incredibly scenic walk through Glenshelane Woods straddling the Glenshelane River.

Sea Walks

Helvick Head
Waterford Mountains

This 2 hour long walk provides stunning view of Dungarvan and its bay silhouetted against the Comeraghs mountains whilst travelling through An Rinn and its harbour

Ardmore Cliffs

This sceanic sea side walk will bring you along the cliffs of Ardmore with many oddities such as a shipwreck and an old castle along the way. The walk totals 1 hour.

An Coinigéar

This walk brings you from An Rinn down to Cunnigar beach and provides great view of Dungarvan bay and ends with an amazing beach.

Paved Walks

The Greenway

The Famous Greenway is a breathtaking trail spanning 46km of the Co. Waterford cosatline. Starting in Dungarvan and finishing in the historic port of Waterford city you’ll see many stunning views such as the Kilmacthomas Viaduct or Mount Congreve Estate Gardens. The start of The Greenway in Dungarvan is locasted just 10 minutes from our gate and is highly recommended for those looking for a great day out. The Greenway is only 10 minutes drive from our gate or a 15 minute cycle.
