Dungarvan Farmers Market is held in The Square, Dungarvan each Thursday from 9:00am to 2:00pm.

Since 2004 with loyal support from our regulars the market has become an important part of the food chain in Dungarvan, already famous for its fabulous eateries. Some of the traders participating in the market include:

Barrons Bakery Established in 1887 by Esther Barron’s father, John. Her father Joe Barron developed the business and was widely acclaimed as a master baker. His daughter Esther expanded the business to include confectionary baking and a coffee shop. Barrons Bakery is one of the last bakeries in Ireland to bake their bread in Scotch Brick Ovens. These ovens give the bread a unique taste, flavour and crust. The bakery added spelt, sourdough and continental breads to its well known range of traditional bread.

Joe’s Fruit & Veg We stock a large range of vegetables including as much seasonal Irish produce as possible – from the mighty potato to the more exotic. Enjoying our produce can be a satisfying and rewarding way of enjoying fresh organic produce while making a positive contribution to our environment.

Knockalara Farmhouse Cheese Offers a wide range of best Irish Farmhouse Cheeses including their own locally produced Knockalara Cheese, Waterford Feta and Dromana Cheese. The selection includes continental cheeses such as Spanish Manchego and delicious French Brie.

Jürgen’s Chocolate and Coffees Hot Chocolate, O’Conaill’s Couverture Chocolate Bars, Organic Chocolate – imported from Germany, Organic Premium Bars. A huge range of chocolate bars are available.

Simon Fraser’s Plants Simon Fraser has been designing gardens and landscaping for 25 years. All Simon’s stock is grown and hardened off in Ireland, and sold with advice on planting and positioning. Buying plants at the market guarantees quality and is at least 25% cheaper than the average garden centre.

Early Bird Free Range Eggs It’s simple……If you want fresh, local, free range eggs laid by happy hens then these are the eggs for you. Once you try them you will definitely be back for more! Trevor Power and Sandra Mulcahy have been producing free range eggs on their farm in Ballinamult since 2005 and have been members of the Dungarvan and Clonmel Farmers Markets for the past nine years. The welfare of our hens is of the utmost importance to us. These free range eggs are produced by hens that live in their natural surroundings and are free to roam within the protected boundaries of the farmland.

The Yummy Crepe Company Based in An Rinn, Co.Waterford, we propose a wide range of traditional gourmet sweet and savoury Breton crêpes using the best of ingredients, locally produced when possible.
